Briquetting
HBI produced in the hot briquetting process is a highly versatile raw material that is widely used as an Fe source in steel production plants around the world, replacing scrap iron or sintered ore
In particular, direct reduced iron (DRI/HBI) is recognized as a CO₂ free raw material, and its use is increasing as a main raw material for iron production in response to global climate agreements.

The hot briquetting process is a process to produce high-temperature briquetted iron (HBI) products from direct reduced iron produced at a direct reduced iron plant at about 800℃ through hot briquetting equipment.
Application Material :
- Direct Reduced Iron
- Waelz Zinc Oxide
- Non-ferrous reduced ore (Nickel..)

Special equipment for hot briquetting machine
HBI Separator
Products briquetted by the Hot Briquetting Machine are discharged in a plate type due to the characteristics of Hot Briquetting, and the Separator is a equipment that separates them into individual briquettes through a rotating rotor.
Existing equipment bounced off the top when separating briquettes and caused equipment failure. Jeil Machinery has specially designed, and manufactured to prevent this when separating briquettes, significantly reducing production downtime due to equipment failure.
